OMIA:001810-9615 : Beta blocker response in heart failure in Canis lupus familiaris (dog)

Categories: Homeostasis / metabolism phene

Links to MONDO diseases: No links.

Mendelian trait/disorder: unknown

Considered a defect: no

Mapping: Lanfear et al. (2011) conducted a GWAS on left ventricular volume and ejection fraction after beta blocker treatment in 39 dogs with experimentally-induced heart failure, using the Illumina Canine SNP 20 SNP chip (comprising ~ 22,000 SNPs). SNPs on chromosomes CFA12 and 20 showed genome-wide significance for one of the traits.

Genetic engineering: Unknown
Have human generated variants been created, e.g. through genetic engineering and gene editing
